We are writing to inform you that two individuals who attended our recent Family Day gathering has tested positive for COVID-19. Because this event brought together more than 100 people, we want to ensure everyone in our community remains informed and takes appropriate precautions to protect themselves and others.
If you or your family members attended the Family Day event, please review and follow these guidance steps:
Recommended Steps and Precautions
Monitor for Symptoms
Keep a close eye on your health over the next 5 to 7 days for any symptoms, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, congestion, or loss of taste or smell.
Get Tested
Consider taking a COVID-19 rapid antigen test or PCR test, especially if you develop any symptoms or if you are in frequent contact with individuals who are at higher risk for severe illness.
Masking in Public and Indoor Settings
As an added layer of safety, consider wearing a well-fitting mask (such as an N95 or KN95) when around others indoors or attending public gatherings, including upcoming weekend Masses.
If You Test Positive or Develop Symptoms
Please stay home, isolate from others, and consult your healthcare provider for medical guidance.
Avoid attending Mass or parish events in person until you are symptom-free or have met recommended isolation guidelines.
Protect Vulnerable Community Members
If you reside with or care for elderly relatives, infants, or individuals with underlying medical conditions, exercise extra caution when interacting with them over the coming days.
Please join us in praying for a quick and full recovery for anyone affected. Thank you for your care, vigilance, and commitment to keeping our parish family healthy and safe.
If you have any questions or need additional support, feel free to contact the parish office.
Blessings,
Holy Cross Catholic Church
